In the third case for the ellipsoid when calculating the monopole, dipole, and quadrupole moments, it was never explained how to obtain the charge density used to calculate these values. When I searched this online, the only thing that I found was that I need the nuclear wave function. This leads me to my question, what is the nuclear wave function, and how do we find this wave function, mathematically speaking?
