    To make the quantum picture more similar to the classical result we would need to increase the quantum number I. In the image, I = 1 gives only three discrete energy levels while a classical system has a continuous range of orientations and energies. If we increase I to a much bigger value, the amount of available m states increases, creating a spectrum where the energy spacing between adjacent levels becomes smaller. While I grows, the systems behavior gets closer to a continuous distribution of orientations, making it almost indistinguishable from the classical case.
