Magnetometer goes in the center of the Carousel, representing the nucleus. The child rides the carousel, representing the electron. Bar magnet held by the child would represent the spin dipolar contribution. If the child now holds an electrically charged ball, this would represent the orbital contribution. Now if the child somehow comes in contact with the magnetometer then that would represent the Fermi contact term.
