My name is Amelia Sheffler. I am in Los Alamos, New Mexico, in the United States. You should visit Los Alamos for the beautiful landscapes and history. My education is in mechanical engineering, specializing in controls. For many years I worked at a steel mill (located in Ghent, Kentucky!), which was very exciting, but I have recently moved to working at a laboratory, so my work is now much more academic/scientific. I expect that this course will introduce me to a corner of physics that I have not learned about before, and help me along a path of lifelong learning, potentially including more education or certification in the future.
