In order to obtain similar spectra to the ones shown, performing the same measurement at different angles on a sample that is placed between the spectrometer’s magnets and suitable microwave frequency must be used. The spectra are then measured by applying the magnetic field and then tuning it across a spread of values. Peaks will be observed whenever the value of the magnetic field encounters a resonance triggered by the EPR transition, which can thereafter be used in calculating the g factor.
